If this is your first time in Ensenada, I recommend you to walk along Calle Primera, the most tourist street in the city.

A fine store selling Taxco silver items is "Los Castillo" in Calle Primera.
This is a lovely two-story shop offering high quality original Mexican crafts.
They offer a wide variety of unique crosses, mirrors, nativity scenes, woodcarvings,"Day of the Dead" figurines and sterling silver.
On the walls of this store you can view the paintings of Vico, one of the most important visual artists of Ensenada.

Along Avenida Juárez, downtown's main street, are a wide array of businesses... barber shops, pharmacies, hardware stores, boutiques.
Macro Plaza del Mar is the most exclusive and luxurious shopping center in Ensenada.
It is located in Avenida Reforma, south, where some of the big retailers are situated such as Costco, Comercial Mexicana, Walmart, Home Depot and others. See map below.
Along the same Avenida Reforma you'll find Smart & Final, Calimax and Soriana stores.
With all these Ensenada stores plus many more, you will want two things... very comfortable shoes and a few days set aside just for shopping in Ensenada...
