and Tourist Attractions

San Felipe travel information
San Felipe is on the Sea of Cortes coast, in Baja California, Mexico.

Facts | Attractions | Hotels | Getting There | 23rd San Felipe 250 Desert Race

Facts

Due to its proximity to the USA-Mexico border -120 miles south- and to its warm, dry, winter climate, and its hot, humid summer, it is becoming as a hot spot for students and families and a hot real estate haven.

It is targeted to become a major tourist destination within the near future.

Many developments are in different stages of construction.

And with fine restaurants, luxury condos, first class sport fishing charters the place is turning into a sophisticated travel destination.

Tourists and retirees from Canada and US come to enjoy the warm and dry winters and the hot, humid summers.

The vacation home market is booming. Among the new developments already built, there are really beautiful communities.

Some of them offer golf course, spa, hotel resort, riding stables, pool, restaurant by the sea and tennis court.

  • Camping
In this seaside town there are dozens of places to camp. Our favorite are Nuevo Mazatlán and Percebú.

  • Fishing.
The local waters offer excellent sport fishing during January, February and March, and seasonal fish during the rest of the year.

Get your fishing license at the local Marina for US $5.70 per day.
