Valle de Guadalupe Wineries

Getting to Valle de Guadalupe

The Mexican Wine Country

There are three ports of entry to getting to Valle de Guadalupe from the USA-Mexico border

From the San Ysidro Port of Entry

San Ysidro is where U.S.A. Interstate Highway 5 crosses into Tijuana, Baja California. Once in the Mexican side take Federal Highway 1 (scenic road) that runs by the coast towards Ensenada.

Before reaching Ensenada you will come to the third and last toll booth at San Miguel.

After about 1.5 miles turn right and then left over a bridge onto Highway 3.

After 7 miles you will arrive at San Antonio de Las Minas.

Valle de Guadalupe, the Mexican wine country, begins right there extending along Highway 3 for about 14 miles.

From the Otay Mesa Port of Entry

Take State Route 905 east and then south through Mesa de Otay in the Mexican side.

From the Tecate Port of Entry

Go to the back country of San Diego on Highway 94, east, and then south to Tecate. Valle de Guadalupe is 40 miles south from Tecate.
