Cabo San Lucas is located in the southernmost tip of Baja California Sur, Mexico.

When diving at Baja California Sur, you will see crevasses and abysses which run parallel to the shore, mirroring the cliffs above the water. At first the sand slopes gently down, but at approximately 8 meters it takes a steep turn.
You will find the top of a cliff at 25 meters as you hang at the side with absolutely nothing beneath you, at depths where you can witness sand cascading down the rock which forms actual sand falls.

CABO SAN LUCAS DIVING LOCATIONS
The Point
This site is also known as “Lands End” as it is at the southern most tip of the Baja peninsula. This is whereby the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. When diving here, you can experience groupers, jacks, parrotfish, sea lions playing joyfully, turtles, yellow fin tunas and much more.
Neptune’s Finger
When diving at this point you are next to huge boulders that have walls covered with sea fans, and where you will also find schools of tropical fish, moray eels, and goat fish eating. It is possible for deep divers to dive in this location.
Pelican Rock
This dive contains walls and slopes and is next to the famous sand falls. Here schools of tropical fish can be seen along with goat fish, eels, and cornet fish. It is also possible to see mobile rays, spotted eagle rays and large fish passing by.
DIVING and SNORKELING TOURS
In Cabo San Lucas diving and snorkeling tours require minimal travel time. After a short boat ride, you will reach locations such as Pelican Rock, Lands End, or North Wall where a large variety of tropical fish and other marine life can be observed in their natural environment.
Average diving departure times are 8:30am and 1:30pm. Depending on the time of the year there are night dives available which depart at about 6pm or 8pm.
Sportfishing. During the 1950s and 60s Cabo San Lucas experienced the sport fishing craze because of its prolific billfishing. The waters off the peninsula’s southern tip had been nicknamed “Marlin Alley”.

Getting to Cabo San Lucas
Cabo is situated in the southernmost tip of Baja California Sur. The Baja peninsula is washed by the Pacific Ocean waters, in the west, and by the Sea of Cortez, in the east.
By air. Los Cabos flights. Los Cabos International Airport is located outside San Jose del Cabo. You can fly to this airport from Los Angeles, USA, and from Mexico City.
It will then take approximately 45 minutes by car or bus to travel to Cabo from the airport.
La Paz International Airport. Code: LAP. This airport is in La Paz, capital city of Baja California Sur, 93 miles north of Cabo San Lucas.
By Sea. Cabo offers excellent marinas.
By car. Distance from the USA-Mexico border is around 1000 miles on Highway 1.
